¿Cuántas historias caben en un cuarto de motel?
Foro Shakespeare A.C. a través de Shakespeare & Cía., con el apoyo del programa México en Escena Grupos Artísticos y el Sistema de Apoyos para la Creación y Proyectos Culturales (SACPC), en el 2021 y en 2022, lanzamos la convocatoria Historias de Motel para Dramaturgias de Paso. Nuevas dramaturgias para nuevas producciones escénicas.
Una habitación cualquiera, en un motel de paso cualquiera.
El pretexto y el inicio.
Fue la provocación estética que se usó para inspirar, probar y crear universos distintos y variados a partir de un espacio predeterminado.
Por cada edición de la convocatoria se seleccionaron 3 textos. De la primera edición, fueron seleccionados: La exequia de Doña Pompa por Alan Escalona, Cuarto 232 por Aaron Zamora y La casa por la ventana por Gonzalo Villanueva Irañeta. En la segunda; Rosa Venuz por Luz Alejandra Fuentes Sánchez, Crónicas de guerra en un cuarto de hotel por Diana Patricia Benítez Rodríguez y Big Flamingo por José Napoleón Alfaro Santos.
Los ciclos estuvieron acompañados por conversatorios, lecturas dramatizadas, le creación y la presentación de una antología y su presentación escénica en el Espacio Urgente 2 de ForoSHKSPR.
Seis historias diferentes, seis pretextos para juntarnos en el teatro y reflexionar.
